Dont waste your time with this app. Youd be better off indexing.

The app itself is really well designed and easy to use. However its been almost 2 years since Ive first invested and even though the stock market keeps on going higher and higher, my investment has just kept on losing money here. I am closing my account at a loss and putting the money in ETFs.

I have done a lot of research of an investment app that would be the best fit for me. I dont know that much about investing but with this app there is really not a whole lot that you do need to know, it takes care of it for you. This is the best app that I have found and couldnt have asked for anything better. I am using this primarily as a retirement account.

I love the app but I dont have the ability to select investments that I know will be long term good investments like impact funds or green energy funds. I would like to be able to tailor my investment targets to match my values! Betterment needs to do more to cater to millennial interests to be a true tool for their target market!

Nothing to get to excited about 60 percent into bonds 40 percent in stocks less than 1.5 percent return 34 k invested Not worth the effort would not Bother with this company.

Market hits highs while my account hit lows. Closed my account and took a full week to get my funds (as compared to instantaneous funding of the account). Mistake!!!!!

Everything about the design, user interface, and user experience of this app is amazing. Only thing I Im wishing for is more features. Having the growth projection over a certain time period like they have on their website would be fantastic. Other than that, perfect.

I searched for the app on the itunes store from my ipad and it didnt even come up ... there is a reason. Its basically unusable on the ipad pro. If you have the keyboard attached (thus, landscape mode) the app doesnt rotate! Ridiculous. Ive only been in Betterment for about a week (already lost 77 cents!) so I cant comment on the fund performance. But they need to fix the app!

I promote betterment to all my friends. I currently have two years free because of all the funded recommendations!

What a great app and great way to start investing and saving for retirement. It would be nice to have more features here that are available in the desktop version.

I have really enjoyed using betterment over the past year! I am extremely impressed with the customer support you guys offer plus the exceptional service that you deliver. A lot of the people who have written reviews dont seem to understand dollar cost averaging and modern portfolio theory. They dont seem to understand how when funds like VEA and VWO are very low, you are suppose to buy more. They get frustrated with the S&P beating them in the short term. I love how modern portfolio theory works, it really is an incredible long term strategy and pays off later on down the road, not necessarily right now. I want you to keep producing more features... One that I especially would want to see is real time updates for my other investment accounts. I would actually really like to see you guys go into the Mint territory with budgeting and tracking all finances, but I dont know if that is where your company direction is. If it is... Make darn sure that you do it better than them. Also, Ive read some of your articles about why real estate investments arent a part of your portfolio. I would really like to see a more in depth statistical explanation of why you chose to not include it. But maybe its something you dont want to show competitors because its so genius. Keep up the great work! I expect to see large strides in development and progress.

Great app and company!

Betterment makes investing accessible and takes a bit of the mystery out of it for me. Its great to leverage my money towards specific goals. And the app makes impromptu deposits nice and easy. As with any any stick market investments, its good to ride out the market ups and downs... stay in it for the long term to watch your money grow!

I have tried using brokerages, Vanguard and Robinhood. Betterment offers the most options and the lowest fees out of everything I have tried. I use it for my taxable investments as they have great tax loss harvesting and intelligent ways of buying and selling shares to minimize capital gains taxes.

Its 2016 and no one should be building apps for phones that get scaled up to iPad proportions. Even if they used the Apple standard UI widgets, theyd get smart UI scaling, and not a giant freaking phone UI. No iPad app. No landscape view. Bleh. Stupid. No account information or account management. Mix all that with not being able to do anything useful and Im probably never going to launch this app again. I hope Personal Capitals beautiful, useful iPad app will let me track my Betterment holdings.
